Some Hidden and Known GMail Chat emoticons.
Bold and Italics
Get bold or italics using Textile-like commands. Surround text with underscores
“_” for italics, or asteriks “*” for bold.
for example, something like *hello* or _hello_
Special Characters
Also, copy/paste ASCII characters into the status, such as ♫ .
Hidden
The original hidden emoticons are still there.

Very nice. Thanks for this.
My friend kept bragging that she knew all these secret Gmail icons and I didn’t. So I looked them up on google, and this website really helped me. So now I don’t feel bad. And some of these, she doesn’ t even know. Like the cowbell one. And I am not gonna tell her how to do it. She will have to look it up herself. Thank you so much!!!
